AARP Tax-Aide volunteers needed in FL
Volunteers are needed in Forest Lake to help low-income taxpayers e-file their tax returns and get the refunds and credits they have coming. Volunteers are sought who can help four hours a week from Feb. 1 to April 15 at the Forest Lake Senior Community Center. Volunteers will help under the AARP Tax-Aide program, the largest volunteer tax preparation service in Minnesota. “We are seeking retired people who are computer literate and have done their ow taxes,” said Bob Hult, a program leader. Classes for volunteers begin in January and lead to certification as an AARP Tax-Aide counselor. Class topics include tax preparation for seniors and low-income filers using IRS software and computers. For information on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, call Hult at 651-592-1750.
