One more weekend remains for city of Forest Lake residents to dispose of leaves, branches and lawn waste at the Bixby Park Compost Site. The facility one block north of W. Broadway Ave. on NW 8th Street is slated to be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (or dusk) this Saturday and Sunday, said Mike Tate, public service director for the city. If the weather holds, Tate said the city will keep the facility open on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and again on the following weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24-25. Under the city schedule, fall hours for the facility are slated to end on Sunday, Nov. 18.
