John Bergeson has won reelection as mayor of Lino Lakes. In the Nov. 6 vote, Bergeson defeated challenger John Freimuth by a margin of 1353 to 737 with all seven precincts reported. The incumbent mayor won all seven precincts. In the race for two council seats, unopposed incumbents Kathi Gallup (1416 votes) and Daniel Stoltz (1434 votes) were returned to office. Voters in the charter city, however, rejected a ballot proposal to levy a tax to finance a street project. The improvement project was defeated by a vote of 1606 to 696. The proposition lost in all seven Lino Lakes precincts.
