Library doors swing opem

It's now open. The Hardwood Creek Library in Forest Lake is officially open. With District One County Commissioner Dennis Hegberg of Forest Lake swinging open the door on Saturday, a huge crowd rushed in to check out the new library, located in the Washington County Service Center, 19955 Forest Road N., in the Headwaters Development. In addition to the formal library opening, Saturday was also a time to cut the ribbon to formally open the North Service Center. Officials from Washington County, the city of Forest Lake and the city of Hugo were on hand for the ribbon cutting. The new library, which replaces the former library at Forest Lake City Hall, is roughly four times larger and designed to serve all of northern Washington County. (Photo By Cliff Buchan)
