Resurfacing on TH-97 between Manning Avenue and TH-95 in Scandia will continue during early October. Throughout the area of construction motorists will encounter milled roadway surfaces while the contractor completes the overlay of the highway. Motorists and especially motorcyclists are advised to be particularly cautious when encountering milled roadway. The milled surface should be overlaid by the second week of October, weather permitting. The resurfacing is part of a larger project on TH-97 and US-61 that began in early July and is expected to be completed in November, weather permitting. Mn/DOT reminds motorists to slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
