The Lakes Area Business Association will host a public forum for candidates for the ISD 831 School Board from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23. The forum will take place at VFW Post 4210, 556 SW 12th St. Candidates Jim Banta, Bill Bresin, John Freed, Joe Grafft, Dan Kieger, Rob Rapheal, Dick Tschida and Linda Nanko Yeager have been invited. The Nov. 6 election will decide four seats on the school board. All four seats are for four-year terms. The Oct. 23 forum will be moderated by Mark Nicklawske of the Forest Lake Press.
