Today (Thursday) is Safety Day at Security State Bank of Marine, Forest Lake. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the bank is offering through AAA free VIN etching, an important anti-theft deterrent for vehicles. “We are giving out through our Security State Agency, free fingerprint kits, important for the safety of our children,” said Melissa Cunningham, assistant vice president of the Forest Lake office. “We will have a police office here to assist with the fingerprints.” The bank will also offer free balloons, backpack ID tags, pencil holders, chips, water, pop, and color books with crayons. The bank will also give away a free AAA membership and a car safety kit via a drawing. Anyone opening a checking account with a $300 minimum deposit will receive a free home fire extinguisher. Today’s event is in conjunction with Bus Safety Week. “We, at Security State Bank feel safety is very important to us and to all our customers and their families,” Cunningham said.
