Police in Forest Lake continue to probe a pair of incidents from last Friday’s homecoming game at the high school, trying to make heads or tails of what happened.

The two incidents involve allegations of a gun and a knife. But in both cases, police have found no weapons, and in one case, have no suspects. Thus the need for answers, police said this week.

Both reports come from incidents at Forest Lake High School, 6101 Scandia Trail N., on Friday evening.

In one report, the mother of two boys called police to say one of her sons was threatened with a knife by another juvenile male. The incident took place during the homecoming football game, police said.

Police were able to question the suspect after being provided with an identification by the two boys, ages 14 and 12.

Police questioned and released the 16-year-old suspect who is from Roseville. No knife was found, police said.

In the second incident, officers were called to a report of a strong armed robbery. A group of six Forest Lake students told police they were confronted by a second group of six male students. They reported losing an undetermined amount of money to the second group of youth.

One of the six students who confronted the local group of students allegedly showed a gun during the confrontation, police said. The incident took place on the west side of the high school, police said.

Police said they will continue to look into the report, but have no leads as to the identity the subjects who allegedly committed the strong-armed robbery.

Other reports

In other news, Forest Lake police are investigating a second robbery report.

A 15-year-old city boy reported Sept. 25 that he was the target of a robbery at 8:24 p.m. The youth was riding a bicycle in the area of SW 9th St. and 3rd Ave. when he was stopped by a Fort Contour carrying two men and a woman.

Police said the two men allegedly took the youth’s billfold. The billfold contained no money, but the youth lost several forms of identification.

On Sept. 26 at 7:04 p.m., Forest Lake officers, including canine officer Matrix, assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in arresting two individuals sought on warrants.

County deputies went to 907 SW 8th St. and asked for Forest Lake assistance fearing one of the subjects may flee. They were correct.

Two subjects fled the apartment only to be tracked and arrested at a nearby apartment building. One of those who fled was a 14-year-old male.

Arrested on outstanding warrants were Terance Bailey, 19, of 609 SW Apartment Lane, and Anthony Florence, 29, of 907 SW 8th St.

US-8 crash

Rescue workers were forced to extricate Linda Brown, 50, of New Hope, from her van on Wednesday, Sept. 26, after three vehicles were involved in a collision on US-8 at Hazel Ave. in Wyoming Township.

Brown was driving west on US-8 at 12:30 p.m. when her vehicle was hit by an SUV that had been rear-ended by a third vehicle and pushed into her path.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Cynthia Taylor, 34, of Chisago City, was traveling east in a 2005 Ford Expedition and slowing to turn left at Hazel when she was rear-ended by a Nissan pickup driven by Mario Swanson, 35, of Chisago City.

The crash forced Taylor’s vehicle into the path of Brown’s van. Brown was taken by ambulance to Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming for injuries that were not life threatening, the State Patrol said.

Taylor and Samson received minor injuries, the State Patrol said. All three drivers were alone in their vehicles. Forest Lake Fire & Rescue, Forest Lake and Wyoming police and Chisago County deputy sheriffs assisted the State Patrol and medical personnel at the scene.
