The Washington County Sheriff’s Office will participate in Safe and Sober Communities activities, running from Oct. 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2008. The Minnesota Safe and Sober campaign is coordinated by the Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety as an enforcement and public education campaign to encourage safe driving. The state funding obtained through the campaign allows the sheriff’s office to participate in concentrated patrol efforts throughout the county. The Forest Lake Police Department has been a regular partner with the county in Safe & Sober details.
