A fresh look at road improvements along W. Broadway Ave. in Forest Lake will take its first stab at public comments during an open house 4:30-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20 at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave. The open house is sponsored by the Washington County and city of Forest Lake Transportation Design Review Committee. The committee formed last spring to study corridor options after Washington County backed away from its proposed plan for roundabouts along the county road. The committee is comprised of local residents, business owners, city staff and county personnel. During the Sept. 20 open house, the committee will welcome ideas, suggestions and opportunities for improvements, viewpoints and concerns from the public.
