Local residents can get rid of their old electronics and support the new Sports Complex at the same time. The Forest Lake Area Athletic Association (FLAAA), which is building a new Sports Complex near the airport, has teamed with national recycler EcoPhones.

FLAAA earns money for the following donated items (both working and non-working):

Cell phones; Inkjet printer cartridges; DVD movies and video games; Portable DVD players; Laptop computers; MP3 players; X Boxes and Playstations; Digital cameras and video cameras; Digital picture frames; GPS devices.

Drop-off locations include Forest Lake VFW, Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce office, ABBA Trophy, Mainstreet Bank, Rapid Press, and any of the five Village Banks.
