Volunteers needed for language study
The Forest Lake Area School District is seeking four volunteers from the community to serve on a World Language Task Force. The community volunteers will be part of a 13-member task force, and will work with educators from our school district and representatives from post-secondary institutions to consider the district’s world language offerings. The task force will be asked to: Review current world language offerings in grades 7-12, which include Spanish, German and French; Review other possible grade 7-12 language offerings; Develop a recommendation for the school board to: Continue with the current offerings; Continue with the current offerings and add an additional language(s) eliminate one or more current offerings; eliminate one or more current offerings and add an additional language(s); develop a time line for implementation, if necessary.
