Hosanna Lutheran Church in Forest Lake has several upcoming events available for the public.

Those events are listed below.

• Mission Jamaica- “Vacation with a Purpose”

Hosanna Church in Forest Lake is welcoming all adult volunteers who would like to join our team “putting faith into action” at Westhaven Children’s Orphanage near Montego Bay Jamaica.

The dates for the “vacation” are Jan. 26- Feb. 4, 2008.

Volunteers will stay in hotel in Montego Bay, spend the first four days doing construction, carpentry projects, playing with and caring for the children at the orphanage, followed by three days of vacationing and relaxation.

• Yogadevotion Registration

Hosanna Church is resuming Saturday morning Yogadevotion sessions from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturdays from Sept. 22 through Nov.17 (excluding Nov. 3).

The sessions combine gentle stretching Yoga poses with soft background music and Christian meditation for rejuvenation of body, mind, and Spirit.

Taught by certified Yogadevotion instructor Lisa Ender. No previous experience required. All men and women are welcome.

• Crosswalk for Kids Begins

Under the direction of Monica Allen, Crosswalk is offered at Hosanna Hugo on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Children begin in worship with their parents and following the children’s message are dismissed for lessons, crafts and games.

The church meets at the Rice Lake Park building 1.7 miles east of Hugo on 8.

Crosswalk at Hosanna Forest Lake is offered on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

• LOGOS for Children, Youth and Families

LOGOS, in its 17th year at Hosanna Forest Lake offers an exciting Wednesday evening for grades 1-12 and their families.

The evening includes activities, dinner, music, and Bible study for all ages. A staffed nursery is available for smaller children whose parents are involved in the program.

• Kingdom Quest at Hosanna Hugo

Kingdom Quest at Hosanna Hugo offers an exciting Wednesday evening for children. The evening includes activities and crafts, music, snacks and Bible stories for from 6 to 7 p.m.

• Confirmation Program Offered at Hosanna

Hosanna Lutheran Church is offering a confirmation program for students in grades 7-9. Classes are available on Monday, Wednesday or a retreat option.
