The ninth annual Northwoods Humane Society Animal Walk — the “Furry Scurry” will take place on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Lent Town Hall, 33155 Hemingway Ave., just north of Stacy. Registration opens at 10 a.m. with the walk starting at 11 a.m. Special events include: a Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit demonstration; Annelise Allan with her agility dogs; Doggie Do’s Grooming for dog nail trims; and a canteen for lunch treats. Dr. Jeff Johnson of Wyoming will be the on site vet. Prizes will be awarded for the top pledge earners.
