Plans are well underway for a benefit golf tournament sponsored by the Forest Lake High School’s Euroband 2008.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 at Tanners Brook Golf Club. Rain date is Saturday, Oct. 6.

This 18-hole tournament will follow a 4-person scramble format. Registration will begin at 10:45 a.m. Shotgun start is scheduled for noon.

Dinner and awards banquet will follow in the club house at 6 p.m.

The cost for the event is $80 per golfer (including cart) and the registration deadline is Saturday, Sept. 15.

There are many opportunities for individual and area business support for this tournament as well – tournament T-shirts, golf balls, prize donations, etc.

All proceeds from this benefit golf tournament will support the Forest Lake High School’s Euroband 2008 concert/study tour of Europe, which is scheduled March 27 through April 8, 2008.

The 13-day program will take band director Richard Hahn and the 60-member ensemble through central Europe, focusing on Germany and Italy.
