Forest Lake falls to Stillwater 3-0 in girls soccer

The final score may say 3-0 in favor of Stillwater, but as far as the Forest Lake girls soccer team is concerned, it could have been a much different story.
Head coach Hanz Lehrke starts by saying that the game went fairly well, but then lists a series of odd plays that led to the 3-0 loss.
“We had a goal called back for off-sides. We cleared a ball that basically bounced off one of their players into our goal, an own-goal, and a bad call that led directly to a goal.”
Lehrke felt his squad controlled about 60 percent of the game, but the girls just couldn’t score.
“They made another step forward,” he shared.
The Rangers were in action on Tuesday against Cretin-Derham Hall, and then away at Mounds View on Thursday and Woodbury on Saturday.
