Fenway concession stand in the works
Come this time next year, visitors to the Fenway Athletic Park complex will be able to relax with a cold soda and a tasty hot dog from the park’s concession stand.
Work on the concession stand, delayed for the past year, began in full last week as the foundation for the building was poured. The photos here show two views of the building in its early stages. Concrete blocks were ready and waiting for block layers. Once school is in full swing after Labor Day, students from the Forest Lake High School construction trades class will finish the project.
The concession stand is a joint effort of the Forest Lake Area Athletic Association, the city of Forest Lake and the Forest Lake High School and School District 831. The concession stand is being built at the center of the complex’s four youth baseball/softball diamonds.
