The Senate District 52 DFL precinct caucuses will be held in three locations at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
Presidential-preference balloting will begin immediately after convening and conclude at 8 p.m. Ballots may only be cast in person; no absentee balloting is allowed. Caucus attendees may also introduce resolutions for possible inclusion into the Minnesota DFL and Democratic Party’s platform. Caucus attendees will also select precinct officers for the next two years and elect delegates to the upcoming District 52 Convention on March 31.
Anyone who will be eligible to vote in Minnesota by Nov. 6, 2012 may vote in the presidential-preference ballot. Anyone age 16 or over may participate in caucus business.
The caucus for House District 52A (Scandia only) will be held at Scandia Community Senior Center, 14727 209th St. N. in Scandia. The House District 52A caucus for all areas except Scandia will be held at Century Junior High Schoool, 21395 Goodview Ave. in Forest Lake. The caucus for House District 52B, which includes May Township and parts of Hugo and Marine on St. Croix, will be held at Mahtomedi Middle School, 8100 75th St. North in Mahtomedi.
