A dual meet win last week evened the Suburban East Conference record of the Ranger boys’ swimming and diving team. Forest Lake blew past Park in a home meet on Thursday, 101-79.

Forest Lake took first place in seven of 10 events before swimming the last two events as an exhibition. Five boys earned wins in individual events: Joe Goossens in the 200 free (1:56.51), Corey Bahr in the 200 IM (2:19.26), Bryan Fleming in the 100 fly (58.38), Joel Stomberg in the 500 free (5:28.51) and Erik Klein in the 100 backstroke (59.85). Fleming’s time represented a personal best.

Gunnar Ewert, Evan Woehl, Stefan Albright and Nate Merrier combined to win the 200 medley relay in 1:51.27. The 200 free relay team of Stomberg, Bahr, Goossens and Andrew Kelsey prevailed with a time of 1:39.73.

The Rangers take on Woodbury on the road Thursday and compete in an invitational at Minneapolis South on Saturday.
