Simonson still mayor in Scandia
For all those Scandia residents who are worried or confused, Mayor Randall Simonson is still at the helm of the city council. City Administrator Anne Hurlburt said this week the city office has received numerous calls from the public after it was reported last week that Councilman Jim Schneider had been named acting mayor. The acting mayor serves as the presiding officer at council meetings and performs other duties of the mayor in his or her absence, such as signing documents and checks.
