This Friday, Feb. 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Fairview Lakes Medical Center will host the 2nd annual Robin Millerbernd Blood Drive.
She served as a medical technologist at Fairview Lakes Medical Center from January 1993 to December 2007. Millerbernd lost a lengthy battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia on July 2, 2010.
Prior to her death, she asked that a blood drive be held in her name to ensure that others would receive the life-saving blood products needed for treatment.
Appointments to give blood are preferred but walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required to give blood. For an appointment or to ask questions, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800 RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767.)
