Hockey season ends for Ranger girls
The hosts from Cloquest-Esko-Carlton scored three goals in the final period and beat Forest Lake 4-0 in a Section 7AA matchup Thursday night. Despite a deficit of only two in shots on goal, the Ranger girls did not find the net and saw their season end in the first round of the playoffs.
The Lumberjacks, seeded third, move on to face No. 2 seed Grand Rapids-Greenway on Saturday. Forest Lake finishes the season with a record of 5-18-3. Look for a complete story in next week’s Forest Lake Times.
