The Ranger gymnastics team ended the regular season on a positive note last Thursday, beating Cretin-Derham Hall 131.625-127.8. The win gives Forest Lake a final record of 4-5 in conference play.

Jessica Dhaene again led the way for the hosts, winning the all-around competition with a season-high score of 36.275. The junior won the vault (9.325), bars (9.3) and  beam (9.0) and took second for her floor routine (8.65). Her vault score was also a season-best.

As a team, Forest Lake outscored the Raiders in each event. Caitlin Freer took third place in vault (8.65) and floor (8.6), and Katie Dison took third on bars (8.1). Merina Lenz returned to the vault and floor lineup after missing four meets in those events with an injury.

The JV squad placed sixth out of 10 teams at the conference tournament on Saturday. Dison placed sixth in the vault with a score of 8.225 and Cassidy Baker was 10th on the beam with a personal best score of 7.85.

The Rangers will take part in the Section 7AA meet in St. Francis on Friday.
