FL boys fourth at state nordic; Wohlk third in girls’ race

The results are in from up north, and they look good for the Ranger nordic ski teams. The unranked Ranger boys placed fourth out of eight in the team event, which was won by fellow Suburban East Conference member Roseville. Seniors Joe Jackson and Alex Kelley placed 11th and 21st, respectively, to earn all-state honors.

Junior Jacob Jankowski placed 36th and eighth-grader Tommy Babcock closed the scoring with a 65th-place finish.

Ninth-grader Rocci Wohlk took third in the girls’ pursuit and is joined on the all-state team by fellow Ranger Cassie Thobe. The senior placed 18th.

Senior Holly Winberg placed 46th out of 118 skiers in her first state competition.
