Approximately 750 thrill-seekers registered for Saturday’s Winter Plunge put on by the Rotary Club. As of Tuesday, $134,000 had come in, with most going back to the local organizations the plungers sought pledges for. The rest pays for the event and goes to Rotary, which supports a host of local causes.

Seventy teams got ‘Cold for a Cause.’ The top fund-raisers were: Lino Lakes Clowning Around for Computers, North St. Paul St. Peter’s Splashers, Blue Pearl Frankies, Hosanna Lutheran Church and Forest Lake Ranger Drumline.

Hula garb won Skyz the Limit the award for best team costume. Mariah Ernst from the Forest Lake Ranger Drumline won top female costume while Paul Melville from Nerdy Nurses of NAU took the male honors.
