CLBS dedicates newly renovated library

Staff recognized for years of service

On Jan. 27, Chisago Lakes Baptist School hosted a dedication for their newly renovated library.

Pastors, parents and students were present to celebrate 28 years of service by Romelle Cable. She is the wife of former head pastor George Cable.

Romelle recently retired from her librarian duties and was present to hear testimonials about past and current students. She was honored for her years of service and also for her involvement in the creation of the library back in the 80s.

Romelle single-handedly built up and managed the library to be a modest 10,000 volume collection, perfect for Chisago Lakes Baptist Church and School. The students presented her with a special song and library-related quotes, chosen just for the occasion. In addition, School Administrator Jerry Schwenke presented Romelle with flowers and a plaque which will hang prominently in the library.

Chisago Lakes Baptist School is in the midst of their Early Enrollment Month, ending Thursday, March 1. Kindergarten Roundup will be held on March 9.

Interested families should call the school office at 651-257-4587 ext. 11 for more information. During this month, receive 33 percent off the enrollment fee.
