YSB has new after-school program

Free  program is offered on select Mondays

FUSION, an afterschool program offered by Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau, is a “coming together” of youth to hang out, play games and do service projects with peers. Best of all, it is free and beverages and snacks are provided.

FUSION is offered to junior high school students in the Forest Lake Area School District and middle school students in the Chisago Lakes School District.

In Forest Lake, FUSION is held on certain Mondays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Central Learning Center, 200 SW 4th St.

Students can hop on the bus afterschool to the CLC. Until Fusion begins in the cafeteria, students are able to access free homework help or enjoy supervised free time through Forest Lake Area Schools Community Education. An activity bus is available to go home. LAYSB volunteer Heidi Peterson will be there, too.

Come to one, two or all of these sessions on Feb. 27, March 12 and 26, April 9 and 23, May 7 and 21. To sign up, visit www.ysblakesarea.org and print out a form or register online at www.communityed4u.org.
