Community Education offers spring parent education program
Thriving With Your Teen! (or Preteen), a one-session parent education class for parents and caregivers of preteens and teens, is offered in Forest Lake this spring.
Thriving With Your Teen will help parents or caregivers learn how to make the most of their relationship and find common ground with their teenager. Participants learn about recent research that can provide useful insight about teens, teen development and effective parenting tips. Participants can enjoy enthusiastic discussions with others and receive support about raising teens and preteens.
The session will be held Tuesday, May 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the media center at Century Junior High School. The cost is free. Register online at www.communityed4u.org for class #9114 or call 651-982-8110.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend. Attendees don’t have to be a parent of teens to benefit from this training. Parent educators also welcome. The sessions are offered through Community Education at the following dates and locations:
