The Ranger lacrosse season got off to an exciting start last Friday, but the boys came back from Owatonna on the short end of a 9-7 score.
The game featured four lead changes, and and Forest Lake held the lead in the third quarter.
“Some untimely turnovers and penalties were the difference,” said coach Jon Loo. “It was a competitive game, disappointing to lose, but there were many positives to build on for this week’s games.”
Senior Luke Morgan scored four goals and assisted on two others, while junior Dan Mollet recorded two goals and an assist.
Forest Lake topped Owatonna in last year’s regular season finale to earn the program’s first win.
The Rangers continue their third season of existence with a pair of home games this week. They hosted Anoka on Wednesday and play St. Cloud Tech tonight, April 12.
