Coke inks county contract

Washington County will renew an agreement with Coca-Cola Refreshments that will allow the county to receive reduced pricing for beverages sold in its parks. The Washington County Board of Commissioners agreed to the renewal April 17, which include a marketing agreement with the company. Sales volume is such that the county qualifies for reduced pricing for beverage products offered by Coca-Cola Refreshments through the marketing agreement. Like a previous agreement, the new two-year agreement provides for exclusively selling Coca-Cola beverage products at county parks, with the exception of Point Douglas Park where the county has contracted with a different beverage distributor. The agreement with Coca-Cola can be terminated at any time with a 30-day written notice. Based on the number of cases of Coca-Cola beverage product sold last year, renewal of the marketing agreement will realize a savings
