Girls remain over .500
The Forest Lake girls’ lacrosse squad improved to 3-1 with a win last week before a big loss at Cretin-Derham Hall on Monday.
The Rangers suffered their first loss of the year at home against East Ridge last Wednesday. The Raptors prevailed 13-7 despite 15 saves by Forest Lake goalie Johanna Haseltine. Amy Enrooth led the hosts with two goals, while Radian Lenz and Emily Riermann each had a goal and an assist.
Two nights later, the Rangers blew past Spring Lake Park, 18-5. Emma Matheisen scored six goals and assisted on another, while Lenz chipped in three goals and two assists. In all, nine Rangers found the net.
Cretin-Derham Hall showed top form in a 22-3 blowout on Monday in St. Paul. Chloe Kinsel led the Raiders with seven goals and four assists, and Forest Lake put only six shots on goal. Enrooth tallied a goal and two assists in the loss.
Forest Lake (3-2) looked to bounce back in Hastings this Wednesday. The Rangers also play at Mahtomedi tonight (April 26) and host Mounds View on Monday before playing at Park next Wednesday.
