May 9-11 at 21329 Heath Ave. Ct. N. in FL
A three-day garage sale is planned next week to help raise funds for a Forest Lake youth who is awaiting a heart transplant.
Blake Brunner, 16, suffers from an enlarged condition that requires the major medical procedure. He is currently receiving treatment at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital and the Sister Kinney Institute in Minneapolis.
The garage sale will take place Wednesday, May 9 through Friday, May 11 at the Scharenbroch home, 21329 Heath Ave. Ct. N., Forest Lake. Hours are 1-7 p.m. on May 9 and 9 to 5 on May 10-11.
Benefit planners continue to seek donated items that can be sold at the garage sale. Fishing equipment and tools, plus other items for men, are being sought. For more information, call Dorothy Scharenbroch, event coordinator and host, at 651-464-6136.
To reach the Sharenbroch home take TH-97 east from US-61 and turn south Heath Ave. Ct.
The youth is the son of Steve and Sharon Brunner of Forest Lake and one of four Brunner children. He was diagnosed with the heart condition in March and has been placed on the transplant waiting list.
Financial donations are also welcome. An account for Blake Brunner has been established at Central Bank in Forest Lake.

A major community benefit to help offset expenses for the Brunner family is being planned for later this spring.
