The Ranger boys’ lacrosse team picked up its second win with its highest scoring output of the season last Wednesday. Forest Lake beat Park 15-10 in front of its home crowd.

“It was probably the best offensive game Forest Lake boys’ lacrosse has ever played,” said coach Jon Loo. “Obviously, the score indicated that, but we also moved with and without the ball really well.”

A quick start set the tone. Park got on the board first, but the Rangers answered with four straight goals. Dan Mollet provided the first two and was followed by Andrew Egle and Colin Peterson.

“Park made a push in the second half, but our boys stayed calm and confident to stay on top till the end,” Loo said.

As sharp as the Rangers were against Park, they came out flat in Roseville this Monday. The Raiders prevailed 6-3.

Loo felt his squad displayed sloppy stick skills.

“It’s tough to do anything in this game if you can’t pass and catch,” he said. “We feel like we let one get away last night.”

Forest Lake hosts Stillwater this Wednesday and plays at White Bear Lake next Monday.
