Police memorial day set May 15 in Stillwater
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office 18th annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day Ceremony will be on Tuesday, May 15. The ceremony will begin at noon in front of the Washington County Historic Courthouse in Stillwater, 101 West Pine St., Stillwater. The annual ceremony is in recognition of National Correctional Officers Week, May 6-12, and National Peace Officers Week is May 13-19. Ceremonies will also take place at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. and at the State Capitol in St. Paul, (for more information please see: “mnlema.org” ), to honor officers from Minnesota who have given their lives in the line of duty. The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony at the Historic Courthouse.
