Wyoming race proceeds donated to Andy Strege

Maranatha’s Road Race, an annual half marathon and 5K in Wyoming, was privileged to recently award $500 to Andy Strege, a Wyoming resident who was injured by a land mine while on duty in Afghanistan.

The event made its debut in September of 2011, less than a week after Strege lost his leg.

Each year the event donates proceeds to a local family who has been directly impacted through an injury or loss of a loved one while serving our country.

Strege intends to extend his award to the Wounded Warrior Project, a program that provides for the needs of wounded U.S. soldiers.

This year’s race will will take place the morning of Sept. 15 during Stagecoach Days.
