Anyone interested in learning about the Highway 61 resurfacing and signal replacement project is invited to an open house on Monday, May 21.
The open house will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. at Hugo City Hall (Oneka Room), 14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N., in Hugo. Project information will be on display and staff will be on hand to answer questions and take feedback. There will be no formal presentation.
The Highway 61 resurfacing and signal replacement project is located in Ramsey and Washington Counties between CR-96 in White Bear Lake and TH-97 in Forest Lake.
Work includes resurfacing Highway 61 to preserve the lifespan of the roadway and create a smoother ride for motorists, replacing traffic signal at Buffalo Street, relocating signal poles at Headwaters Parkway and replacing six other culverts as well as drainage improvements.
The project is scheduled to begin in July and be completed by mid-November.
