Another 10-run-rule playoff win for FL softball

After a first-round bye, the second-ranked Forest Lake softball team has now won two games via the 10-run rule. The Rangers – seeded No. 1 in Section 7AAA – knocked off fourth-seeded Duluth East 11-1 this afternoon at Fenway Athletic Park.

Forest Lake now faces No. 2-seed Duluth Denfeld at 3 p.m. The Hunters also invoked the 10-run rule in a win over third-seeded St. Francis in this afternoon’s first set of games. The winner of the 3 p.m. game will have two chances tomorrow to win one game and advance to state.

Update: An eight-run first inning has the Rangers ahead 8-0 over Denfeld in the fourth inning.
