Why have a lake and not celebrate around it?

Forest Lake will do just that over an eight day period that starts on Friday with the second annual Lake Fest. A full slate of events are planned for this community-school celebration.

Plenty of events for family fun and ways to help community causes are in the offing.

From concerts and arts and crafts to talented skiers on First Lake and runners, Lake Fest 2012 will have something for every one.

Local singer Charlie O will be at the Lakeside Park gazebo on Saturday, June 2 for two hours of music from 5-7 p.m. (File photo)

Below is a schedule of events for the celebration that is jointly sponsored by the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Forest Lake School District 831 and the city of Forest Lake with generous assistance from local civic organizations and area businesses.
