Golf boys headed to state
Forest Lake is the Section 7AAA champ in boys’ golf. The Rangers followed up Monday’s round of 295 with a total of 300 even this afternoon, May 31, in Hinckley. Anoka was a distant second with a total of 611, 16 shots back.
It’s the first section title for the Rangers since 2009. The Class AAA competition takes place June 12-13 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids.
I heard the coach selected who would get to play in sections/ state instead of letting the golfers decide their fate on the course !!
Don’t over-coach, these young men deserve better !!
