Dettmer appointed to TCAC
Rep. Bob Dettmer, R – Forest Lake, who serves as the vice chair of the House Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee, was appointed to the Trustee Candidate Advisory Council by Speaker of the House Kurt Zellers.
Established by the Legislature, TCAC is responsible for selecting qualified candidates for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees. The 24-member council must also recommend to the governor at least two and not more than four candidates for each open seat on the board. TCAC will begin its selection process in June.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees consists of 15 members, including three students.
