Maddie Carey finished her prep golf career in the best place possible – the state meet. The Ranger senior joined the best players in Minnesota at last week’s Class AAA event at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids.

Carey rebounded from a first-day round of 100 to score 90 on Wednesday. Her total of 190 tied her for 69th in the field of 88.

Fellow Suburban East Conference member Celia Kuenster of Cretin-Derham Hall defended her individual title with a score of 141, three shots under par. New Prague took the team title by shooting 661.
