Colleen (Fraley) Bortles-Elliott
Colleen was born on November 10, 1947 to Don and Bernice Fraley in St. Paul, MN. She was raised in Forest Lake as one of 10 children. Colleen worked hard and was a vital help to her parents and siblings.
She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1965 and relocated to the Pacific Northwest where she married Ron Bortles. They had twins, Max and Chelsea. Colleen remarried in 1998 to Vince Elliott of Redmond.
Colleen’s life was shaped by her courageous strength, wonderful sense of humor, generosity and kindness. She worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years in Redmond, WA, and will be missed by many.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Vince Elliott; children Max and Chelsea Bortles; granddaughter Catrina Bortles; sisters Kathryn Berfelz, Darlene Fraley, Donna Kari (Jerry), Virginia DeLeon, Jackie Simonson (Bruce); and brothers Jim Fraley (Sue), John Fraley, Pat Fraley (Linda) and Ron Fraley (Lori); many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Colleen’s life will take place from 5-7 p.m., Friday, July 6 at Eko Backen in Scandia, MN. The remembrance program will begin at 5:16 p.m.
