For the second time in the past five weeks, a traffic crash on US-61 has claimed a life.
Aaron J. Larson, 28, of New Brighton, died when his car rolled on US-61 at 250th St. in Wyoming early Saturday morning, June 24.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Larson was northbound on US-61 at 5:39 a.m. when his vehicle veered to the right, over corrected, hit the left ditch and went airborne, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. The vehicle landed on the driver, according to the State Patrol incident report.

Larson was alone in the vehicle, a 2000 Ford Escort.

The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office assisted state troopers at the scene.
Five weeks earlier on May 18, a 45-year-old Stillwater man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed at US-61 and 240th St., the border between Forest Lake and Wyoming.

The Saturday crash in Wyoming was the third fatal accident in the same time period in this area.
