New biz group touts informal networking

Business Casual Network avoids time and money pitfalls

Forest Lake’s new business luncheon group is opening doors by side-stepping the usual pitfalls of such efforts – time and money.

Business Casual Networking (BCN) offers a relaxed atmosphere for local corporate types to share referrals and network. Besides its informal approach, the group also plans to stand out by foregoing membership fees and by meeting only six times per year.

Meetings will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every other month at Friar Tucks Pub, 1500 S. Lake St. in Forest Lake. The next meeting date is July 10.

Members will have the opportunity to give brief updates of their business at each meeting. BCN aims to connect people via interests outside of the workplace, as well, and seeks members who live and work with character and integrity.
