A Stacy woman has died from injuries sustained in a Chisago County crash on Saturday, July 7 involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Tina M. Enstad, 24, died on Saturday, July 14 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul where she had been a patient since the July 7 crash. She was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by Richard Steven Hanson, 24, from Chisago City.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on July 7 near the intersection of 347th Street and Oasis Road north of Lindstrom.

The accident took place when Hanson’s motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck that had been parked on Oasis Road and was attempting to make a turn.

Police said the pickup and its 16-year-old driver had been parked on the shoulder and was attempting to turn east on 347th Street and turned in front of the southbound motorcycle.

Authorities said Hanson attempted to avoid the truck, but hit the rear quarter of the truck on the driver’s side. Hanson also went to Regions Hospital where he was in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup and three adult passengers were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
