LATV offers free mock crash DVD

In an effort to reach more young people, Lakes Area Community Television is offering the Every 15 Minutes anti-drinking and driving program educational DVD to area families free of charge.

The DVD program was designed in partnership with Jon Glader, Forest Lake Police Department school liaison officer, and Paul Hutchison, a licensed funeral director and owner of Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake.

The DVD contains the main title program and a shorter 20-minute mock car crash video. The DVD is available to families at State Farm Insurance, 568 S. Lake St. and Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive and at the LATV Studio, 24260 Greenway Ave. N., Suite C., Wyoming (off US-8) and at the Scandia and Columbus city halls. Free copies will be available until the end of August.

Sarah Chatwin, LATV access coordinator, said the DVD was made possible thanks to the generous financial support from Mattson Funeral Home, Fairview Lakes Medical Center and Jesse Johnson of State Farm Insurance.

My son and I watched this on-line together after he told me about the program at the high school. This was an excellent program! No wonder it has been nominated for an award.
When I get a chance I plan to pick up a copy of this. I plan to share it with my extended family so my nieces and nephews can watch when they get older and start to drive too. Thank you to the businesses that supported this program. Thank you LATV.
