St. Croix Orthopaedics’ surgeons, David H. Palmer, M.D. and Mark T. Dahl, M.D., were honored as “Top Doctors” by their peers in Mpls/St. Paul magazine’s special 2012 Top Doctors Edition in July. Both were selected Top Docs in the field of orthopaedic surgery. Palmer co-founded St. Croix Orthopaedics, P.A., in 1977. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in 1971. After an internship at UCLA Harbor General Hospital, he returned to Minnesota to do his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Veteran’s Administration and University of Minnesota Hospitals. Dahl joined SCO in 2004 after 19 years of practice in Minneapolis and St. Paul. He received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School, and did his internship at Hennepin County Medical Center. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Veteran’s Administration and University of Minnesota Hospitals. Dahl has completed advanced training in limb lengthening and deformity reconstruction at the Hospital of Lecco, Italy, the University of Verona, Italy, and The Restorative Center for Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. He is clinical associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
