Christy W. Sauro, Sr.
Christy W. Sauro, Sr., 85, St. Paul, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012. He was a U.S. military veteran serving in the Navy during the latter stages of World War II in the Pacific theater.
A graveside service was Thursday, July 26 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Christy W. (JoAnn) Sauro, Jr., North Branch, and Michael J. Sauro, St. Paul; grandchildren Christy W. Sauro, III, Angie (Dave Gelbmann) Sauro and Sharon (Chris) Leslie; former wife, Barbara Sauro, and her daughters, Roxanne (Donnie) Sax, Jean (Chris Heist) Rentschler, Julie (Chris) Posterier and Vickie Erickson; one brother, William Sauro; three sisters, Antoinette Bless, Ann Sauro and Jeanne (Thomas) Moore; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred “Millie” Sauro; parents, Jovina and Giuseppe Sauro; three brothers and four sisters.
