Norman W. Dahl

Norman W. “Norm” Dahl, 94, Marine on St. Croix, died Monday, July 30, 2012.

He was a military veteran who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 3 at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail N., Scandia.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.

Visitation will continue on Friday, Aug. 3 at Elim Lutheran one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be at Elim Lutheran Church Cemetery, Scandia.

He is survived by his children, Mary Alice (Michael) Malpass, Marshall Dahl, Lorraine Campbell, David (Julie) Dahl; 14 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Wallace and Astrid (Haar) Dahl; his wife, Audrey; one son, Daniel Norman Dahl; one grand-daughter, Krista Lorraine; one sister, Margaret Williams; and one brother, Robert Dahl.

Memorials may be directed to Elim Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN 55025.
