Warren Benoy

Warren Benoy, 87, Forest Lake, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012.

He was an Army Air Corps pilot during World War II and an owner of Benoy Brothers Construction Co., Inc., Forest Lake.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 9 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, and 10-11 a.m. at church on Friday.

Interment will be at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eloise; children, Dwight (Pat), Monte, Karen and Brian (Deb); nine grandchildren, Ross, Cody, Samantha, Cole, Sarah, Justin, Derek, Laura and Ryan; two great-grandsons, Elliot and Liam;  two brothers, Russell (Corrine) and David (JoAnne).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Pearl Benoy.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Faith Lutheran Endowment Fund.

    I remember very well painting with my Dad Leonard on Warren and Eloise’s home and on the wonderfully built “Benoy homes.” It was always a pleasure to work on those homes, and as I recall, Warren architected them God be with all of you.
